Painting Solution for Staging a Home in Cary

I had the pleasure of staging a home for sale in the old section of Cary. I met the couple through my good friend Alex Ambrose of Alex Ambrose Realty Group. He brought me in because he knew the couple needed to sell fast as they already had a contract on a larger home in McGregor Downs in Cary. The couple were a little overwhelmed with moving as they also had a baby! Their budgets were stretched as well and they needed to freshen up their home for buyers with a small budget. The first thing I suggested was to paint the railings of their stairs. Let me just say, I am so excited with the results of painting the wood in this staircase! It made the foyer look more modern and clean! Here are the before and after pictures:

Before – ho hum railings
After – Black railings!

If you want to do this yourself, I suggest you look at this post from Thirty Handmade Days on step by step instructions with pictures.

Other than putting away some clutter, there were two other easy changes that I made in the family room. I had them paint their family room Tradewind from Sherwin Williams. This is a cool blue gray that is a beautiful tranquil paint color that makes the space look big and airy.

After – tranquil space

When I was walking through their house to make suggestions in other rooms, I was so excited to find the rug that is pictured in the After picture. It is an almost brand new rug from Pottery Barn (similar rug) that they had laid over carpet in their nursery. Look at the impact it makes in their family room!

This house sold FAST!
